Job Summary

Provides assistance in duties related to keeping the Processing Operations running smoothly.

Essential Job Duties

Setup – Prepare and communicate pre-shift meeting performance indicators to DDS meetingsAssign shift duties to Processing Dept staff based on production schedule needs, record on Labor Sheets.Assign Potato Receiving duties based on Potato Receipt delivery scheduleAssign and/or Perform Oil Filtration duties as needed.Start-Up – check Kettle Lines PLC data bases to ensure proper cook profiles are set for product being produced (i.e., Regular, Reduced Fat).Monitor product flow with Packaging Room needs, to minimize downtime, and/or overflow back-up.Start- up – Record Oil meter numbers and Potato Bin inventory estimates.Monitor Batch weights to ensure proper batch weights are set for the gravities being used .Check Peeler brushes to ensure proper settings are in use based on crop being produced.Check Centrifuge settings are appropriate based on production (Regular vs. Reduced Fat)Assist and/or Perform Kettle Change oversAssist supervisor in achieving standard efficiencies by being at standard cost or below on a daily basis.Coordinate and obtain OT coverage for other shifts.Maintain GMP – by following and setting an example.Assist with communications to Quality Assurance, and participate in Shift Sensory Testing.Assist supervisor in completing daily line paperwork.Track kettle downtime on shift, coordinate with Mechanics to record reason codes accordinglyMaintain a safe work environment by setting the example.Understand and observe safety rulesParticipate and/or support in CI initiatives to improve efficiencies.May provide 12 hour coverage for other Process Technician absencesMay perform other duties as requiredAdhere to company GMP’s, general and food safety standards.  Responsible for reporting all food safety and      quality issues to their Supervisor or Manager
