The Sanitation Supervisor oversees/directs the sanitation department team in all areas of sanitation for production areas / machines.
Job Responsibilities• Organize, lead and supervise sanitation employees; solves problems before they develop.
• Observe/evaluate processes and draws on experience to make independent decisions on issues relating to sanitation processes and improvements.
• Provide assistance and guidance to sanitation employees, providing them with what they need to accomplish daily tasks and achieve goals.
• Communicate effectively and makes sound decisions.
• Evaluate employee performance.
• Administer discipline when needed.
• Assist with selection, hiring, advancement, transfer, promotion and termination decisions for the department.
• Delegate responsibilities as needed.
• Schedule employee vacations.
• Maintain accurate records and employee files
• Motivate by example.
• Process daily employee issues and complaints.
o Listen well and provide tactful feedback.
• Work closely with the quality control department, assisting with information gathering and follow-up.
• Assure a safe work environment.
• Ability to work overtime as needed with little or no notice.

• Other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
• Associate’s degree or commensurate experience.
• 4 years of sanitation experience or more.
• In depth understanding of manufacturing sanitation processes.
• Ability to make sound, independent decisions based on functional expertise and experience.
• Ability to provide leadership, support, communication and direction to line personnel.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot and problem solve beyond routine issues.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• SAP experience.
• Management or supervisory experience.
