Summary
Interprets physicians' prescriptions and compounds and dispenses medications within regulatory guidelines. Consults with customers regarding use of medications and potential drug interactions. Counsels’ customers and handles complex problem resolution. Requires a RPh license
What you will do
Provide oversight and direction to pharmacists and pharmacy techniciansOversee team workflow processes, maximizing productivity and time efficiencyInterpret physicians’ or prescribers’ prescriptionsVerify prescription information entered in the system by data entry or order entry Maintain quality assurance / quality control documentationProvide initial and on-going training and support to pharmacists and techniciansEngage in production planning, KPI monitoring, internal and external team meetingsProvide audit and inspection support including preparation and follow upAssist with Fulfillment leadership development programsServe as a staff level model for Cigna values and behaviors.Additional duties as assigned.Qualifications
Graduate of ACPE Accreditation School of Pharmacy with a B.S. Pharmacy or Pharm.D, degree is requiredCurrent Florida resident pharmacist license in good standing is requiredAdvanced problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve issuesGood oral and written communication skillsAbility to adapt in a changing environmentAbility to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to work a flexible schedule for peak volume timesIf you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
