With around 100 employees and present in Paris for more than 50 years, MUFG Bank Paris is a branch of MUFG Bank with two types of activity:

"Global Corporate & Investment Banking" (“GCIB”): global relationship with the main French corporate groups of the CAC 40 and SBF 120 stock exchange index"Japanese Corporate Banking": relationship with the subsidiaries of Japanese groups in France.

Our Business Areas

GCIB is the division responsible for managing the Bank’s key international client relationships and main financing products (Syndication, Structured & Project Finance, Securitisation, Working Capital Solutions, ECA financing, etc.). The coverage teams manage the global relationships with these groups. GCIB has a deep understanding of clients from a Credit and Strategic perspective, enabling it to offer the right products. At the centre of the client relationship, the Relationship Management teams coordinate the commercial strategy as well as the business lines (Capital Markets FX, Rates, Project Finance, Trade Finance, Global Network, etc…).

Our market leading Structured Finance department is responsible for i) marketing, ii) originating and iii) structuring project finance transactions in the EMEA region across the Infrastructure, Energy and Natural Resources sectors. As part of GCIB, ESFO’s main responsibilities include the structuring, financial and rating advisory and the execution of loans for our clients in the region. A particular strength of ESFO is financial advisory capability that has broadened in scope from advising on lending but now includes equity advisory capability and procurement advisory.

The strategy of the team is to increase this broadening of scope whilst expanding the geographical and sectoral focus in order to support clients whilst contributing to the broader GCIB strategies around FIs, Distribution and Cross Sell.

The newly established ESFO Paris Team covers structured finance transactions across EMEA and is in particular in charge in the context of the GCIB Cross-Border Framework of leading i) the marketing, ii) the origination and iii) the structuring discussions for structured finance transactions to French based clients and transactions. The ESFO Paris Team is in that context interface with relevant product specialists in London in accordance with the GCIB Cross-Border Framework.

What To Expect

The position, based in our Paris branch, is part of "ESFO Paris" team. The work is mainly in English.

In a team of twenty people, the position is focused on supporting ESFO France Paris team. The job duties include:

Support with developing and maintaining clients’ relationships, which involves, preparation of pitchbooks, memos, research etc …Support with the preparation of Business Screening, Deal Screening and Credit MemosSupport in running ROE scenarios using C-HubHelp in internal reporting requirementsSupport the team in undertaking administrative processes in relation with the execution of a Project financing

Be enrolled in Master 1 or Master 2 from a recognised Business or Engineering School (with a Major in Finance)Have a customer-oriented and business development mindsetBe Rigorous, reliable and organizedShow an excellent level of oral and written operational French and EnglishHave excellent knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and WordA first experience in the Corporate & Investment Banking sector would be a plus
