As a Sanitation Associate, you’ll get to make a difference in a fast-paced, automated distribution center. **Position Summary** The Distribution Center Sanitation Associate uses equipment, personal protective equipment, and sanitation products to deep clean and upkeep of an assigned area in a distribution center. This person operates at the direction of a supervisor, either singly or as a member of a team. Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, and wet or uneven surfaces. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and regularly required to sit; use hands, stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Report Food Safety Issues to the Sanitation Supervisor, Ability to follow all applicable schedules, sanitation and safety requirements as assigned. Uses appropriate cleaning supplies and chemicals according to departmental procedures to perform assigned tasks. **What’s in it for YOU?** + **$21.00 per hour** **Available Shifts:** + 1 st Shift: 40 hours per week, 10-hour days, must be flexible to work any Monday to Friday schedule, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm + Must be flexible with work hours and be able to work overtime and weekends as per business needed. **Qualification/Basic Job Requirements** + Must be 18 years of age or older with a High school diploma or general education degree (GED), preferred but not required. + Must be proficient in English- reading, writing and speaking. + Previous Manufacture and/or food production experience is highly preferred + Knowledge of Good manufacturing practices is preferable + Ability to work at heights and in tight environments + Must be able to read and follow instructions for chemical usage and cleaning specifications as set by the company + Follow Standard Sanitation Operations Procedures (SSOP) guidelines as they refer to the proper cleaning and sanitation of all areas and/or equipment + Ability to be trained and operate man-lift equipment + Ability to complete and submit all Sanitation daily forms according to Sanitation SSOPs + The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. + The employee must be able to be on their feet most of the day and walk several miles each day. + Ability to work with others or independently in a fast-paced environment, under minimal supervision + Regular and reliable attendance + Performer other duties as assigned **Competitive Benefits:** Dollar Tree offers a full benefits package including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short & Long Term Disability, 401K, Profit Sharing and Discount Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
