**Overview** Are you an experienced Pharmacy Technician? We at MHealth Fairview are looking for you to join our team! Under the direction of the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician III is responsible for day-to-day comprehensive pharmacy technician services in a complex healthcare environment. This may include dose dispensing technology and sterile medication compounding, and chemotherapy medication compounding. This role will function as a subject matter expert in at least two advanced technical areas and can skillfully use interpersonal, customer service, problem solving and collaboration skills to support and influence operational objectives. **Responsibilities Job Description** + Partner with care providers and pharmacists to ensure that patient receives the needed medication accurately, safely, in accordance with all legal requirements and policies and in a professional and timely manner. + Under the direction of the pharmacist, receive prescription/orders from electronic medical record, process manually or using the appropriate computer system and protocols, prepare drug therapy and/or dispense medication in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with all legal, regulatory agency and Fairview requirements. + Maintain the IV hoods or isolators, clean room, ante room according to manufacturer’s specifications and regulatory requirements as applicable. + Coordinate ordering, delivery of medications, supplies and equipment to patients and clinical areas as requested. + Participate, coordinate or lead regulatory, quality assurance and process improvement activities and other projects as assigned. + Facilitate the training of pharmacy technicians. + Other responsibilities as assigned including but not limited to: data collection, reporting, process improvement and maintenance of patient education materials. **Organization Expectations, as applicable:** + Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served + Partners with patient care giver in care/decision making. + Communicates in a respective manner. + Ensures a safe, secure environment. + Individualizes plan of care to meet patient needs. + Modifies clinical interventions based on population served. + Provides patient education based on as assessment of learning needs of patient/care giver. + Fulfills all organizational requirements + Completes all required learning relevant to the role + Complies with and maintains knowledge of all relevant laws, regulation, policies, procedures and standards. + Fosters a culture of improvement, efficiency and innovative thinking. + Performs other duties as assigned **Qualifications** **Required** **Experience** + One year of pharmacy technician experience in a complex healthcare environment. **License/Certification/Registration** + Eligible to become registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the MN State Board of Pharmacy and eligible to become certified with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board. + Nationally certified or become certified within 12 months of employment. Certifying exams must have National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) accreditation, with examples including, Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) exam and The Exam for Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT). **Preferred** **Education** + Completion of an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited pharmacy technician training program **Preferred Experience** + Two years of pharmacy technician experience in a complex healthcare environment. **EEO Statement** EEO/AA Employer/Vet/Disabled: All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to any lawfully protected status
