B3H Corporation is seeking highly experience Air Operations Center (AOC) and Air Force Forces (AFFOR) subject matter expertise to provide instruction, course execution, and course development support to the 705 TRS for government-led maintenance and execution of Air Component Senior Warfighting Leader (ACSWL) courses.  ACSWL is advanced training and education intended for O-6 through O-10 senior leaders. It includes formal and tailored courses/events to include but not limited to: Air Force Forces (AFFOR) Senior Staff Course (AFSSC) targeting AFFOR staff O-6s, Coalition and Joint Senior Staff Course (C/JSSC) targeting Air Operations Center (AOC) assigned and related O-6s, Air University’s Coalition and Joint Forces Air Component Command (C/JFACC) course targeting O-8s, Air Mobility Command’s Director of Mobility Forces (DIRMOBFOR) course targeting O-7s/8s and Specialized Joint Air and Space Operations Training (SJAT) consisting of tailored, just-in-time academics, discussion and presentations for General Officers (O-7 through O-10) to prepare them for air component warfighting duties.

Responsibilities

Provide and/or coordinate all academic instruction as directed by the Course Director, Course Manager, and course syllabus, including, but not limited to lectures, practical exercises, small group events and guided discussions.

Instruct AFSSC.  AFSSC is a 5-day course, consisting of academic instruction, practicum exercise and student processing time.  Typical class size is approximately 40 students with max size of 45, ranging in grade from O-5 through O-7. AFSSC trains Air Force Component Headquarters (AFCHQ) AFFOR senior staff personnel in conducting and supporting operational-level planning and execution.

Instruct the C/JSSC.  C/JSSC is a 6-day course that will be executed a maximum of 4 times a year at Hurlburt Field, Florida.  Typical class size is approximately 40 students with max size of 45, ranging in grade from O-5 through O-7.  C/JSSC provides in-depth AOC and process training used in the C2 of air and space combat resources at the operational-level of warfare.

Instruct the C/JFACC.  C/JFACC) is an 11-day course that is supported a maximum of 2-3 times a year at Maxwell AFB, AL.  Typical class size is approximately 20 students with max size of 30, ranging in grade from O-7 through O-8.  This course is designed to prepare potential JFACCs for theater-level combat leadership responsibilities. 

Instruct the DIRMOBFOR.  DIRMOBFOR course is supported one day with less than five lessons that is executed a maximum of 4 times a year at Hurlburt Field, FL.  Typical class size is approximately 20 students with max size of 30, ranging in grade from O-6 through O-7.  This course prepares selected total-force senior officers to manage, monitor, and coordinate air mobility forces that deploy in support of an exercise, contingency, war, natural disaster, or humanitarian relief operation. Events consist of tailored, just-in-time academics, discussion, and presentations for General Officers to prepare them for air component warfighting duties.

Instruct SJAT.  SJAT) events range from ½ to 3 days and are scheduled as events are needed/requested.  Class size is one student ranging in grade from O-7 through O-10.  Typically, 4-6 SJAT events are executed a year and based at Hurlburt Field, FL

Prepare classrooms for instruction

Operate academic equipment (i.e., projectors, televisions, computer learning stations, etc.)

Issue required student courseware (Student Guides, handouts, approved changes, etc) required for course attendance to include maintaining student folders as required 

Ensure course materials are current prior to each instruction event 

Develop, review, and respond to end-of-phase and end-of-course critiques of academic instruction.  Coordinate all critiques IAW the governing syllabus.  Coordinate all student comments and courseware corrections, to include errata sheets, with the Government prior to use in the classroom.  Provide completed critiques/student’s comments to the course manager for review.

Develop and execute a comprehensive graduate evaluation plan used to determine academic instruction effectiveness, based on students feedback gained during practical field Falconer experience.

Assist with maintaining continuity folders, reference material, audiovisual library, films, tapes and lesson courseware.

On a not-to-interfere basis with course execution schedules, provide air component-related expertise for exercise support. 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or higher from a regionally accredited University or College

Attend and successfully complete Government-provided instructor certification requirements

Recognized Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) experienced and qualified in AFFOR operations at the operational-level of warfare

Minimum 3 years on a Component-Numbered Air Force (C-NAF) or MAJCOM AFFOR Staff in a leadership capacity OR alternately have 3 years as a qualified AOC Team or Division Chief

Practical experience executing the Joint Operations Planning Process for Air (JOPP-A) and participated in at least 2 deliberate or crisis action planning events

Capable of participating in all course-related functions spanning preparation, execution, execution support and maintenance of the course

Proficient with multimedia operations required for instructional briefings, presentations, and exercise activities

Proficient with using Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
