GENERAL SUMMARY: The Physician Assistant functions as an independent healthcare provider, under the supervision of a physician, who, work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team. Responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with acute or chronic medical conditions, in a fast-paced urgent care setting. Demonstrates a high degree of clinical expertise in working with patients with acute and chronic illnesses or acute injuries commonly encountered in both the pediatric and adult patient population. Is responsible for assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, education, health promotion and care coordination for patients and families with acute and chronic health needs. The Physician Assistant demonstrates an advanced level of medical clinical knowledge, communication and interdisciplinary collaboration, professionalism, and systems-based practice. Takes patient history, performs physical examination, orders and interprets tests, makes diagnoses and institutes appropriate treatment programs. Performs functions independently. Works in collaboration with staff physicians, nurses, and other members of the medical care team to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved in a safe and efficient manner. Specific procedures are individually credentialed as indicated by training and experience. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree. Completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program. One year of full-time experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Ability to prioritize tasks. Must be able to work independently with all unknown conditions in a fast-paced environment. LICENSURES AND CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Requires Michigan state licensure and continued certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA). BCLS Certification required.

OPPORTUNITY SUMMARY: We are seeking a fulltime Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, who has urgent care or emergency room experience, treating both adult and pediatric patients, to join our provider team!
Our Advanced Practitioners (PA/NP) provide a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections. Functioning in lieu of or alongside of a physician, it is essential for an urgent care Advanced Practitioner to have excellent assessment skills in order to recognize more serious conditions and direct the patient to the emergency room for advanced care when necessary while going above and beyond to deliver an unparalleled patient experience. Additionally, we have two Excellent Bonus Programs: Daily Volume Bonus paid monthly based on patient visit metrics met per shift (to reward those who work at the busier centers). Quarterly Bonus of up to 10% on top of your clinical base salary, based upon patient satisfaction scores, productivity and quality measures. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 1 year of fulltime experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting as a NP or PA is required Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations (all ages) required. Comfortable with minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints, etc.), and preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays required. Physician Assistants: Master’s degree and NCCPA Certification is required Nurse Practitioners: Master’s degree and appropriate certification required (AANC or AANP)
