**Job Title: A&P Mechanic**
**Job Description**
The Aircraft Technician must accurately repair and perform scheduled maintenance on all Cessna Citation Jets and some Gulfstream Aircraft, as well as perform inspections as required by the FAA. The technician will perform typical line and scheduled maintenance duties such as RII items and 100-hour inspections and related inspection items.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform regular maintenance on aircraft.
+ Professionally train and lead other employees in proper work techniques.
+ Project management; accurately estimate work time and materials for scheduled jobs.
+ Fully analyze all required blueprints, drawings, work orders, and sketches to troubleshoot, repair, and install desired products or parts.
+ Detect errors and correct through proper departmental channels.
+ Ensure proper working condition of mechanical systems before flight.
+ Develop and maintain records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and any reports related to parts or services.
+ Inspect and examine engines, wings, propellers, tails, and other parts to identify cracks, corrosion, or other defects.
+ Inspect hoses and lubricate joints; replace any that show signs of needing repair.
+ Consult maintenance manuals and specifications to identify correct operations and specifications for replacements or repairs.
+ Install new parts to replace or repair defective or recalled parts or to enhance the performance of the aircraft; perform these tasks efficiently and to specifications.
+ Repair sheet metal as needed.
+ Ensure proper function of engines and operating systems via a variety of tests and tools.
+ Identify and resolve mechanical problems based on visual inspections or reports from pilot or crew.
+ Collaborate, as needed, with airframe and power plant (A&P) mechanics or other appropriate personnel to repair engines and non-instrumental parts.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ Must have FAA Airframe License.
+ Must have tools and tool box.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Cessna Citation or Gulfstream experience preferred.
+ Any corporate aircraft experience is acceptable.

**Work Environment**
Shifts will range from 8-10 hours based on workload. Weekend day shifts are from 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and weekend night shifts are from 5:00 PM to 5:30 AM, with a night shift differential of $4.00/hour. The schedule follows a 4-3-3-4 pattern, with one week from Thursday to Sunday and the next week from Friday to Sunday.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of **Kinston, North Carolina.**
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $48.00/hr.

**Workplace Type**
