As an A&P Mechanic, you will be responsible for repairs, replacement and maintenance of the key components of aircrafts. You'll perform the necessary checks in regards to the mechanical and functional components of the aircraft, including the testing of and replacement of defective or faulty parts. You'll use a variety of tools and equipment to perform diagnosis on parts to be replaced, and ensure repairs and maintenance are compliant with national and international standards of work, all while maintaining safety and cleanliness of the hanger or workshop. You will demonstrate knowledge in one of the three main components of aviation maintenance including airframe maintenance, power plant mechanics, or Airframe & Power plant (A&P) components.

A&P Mechanic III

Must-haves:

High school diploma or GED equivalent and at typically 5 or more years of relevant experienceA higher level degree may substitute for experienceRelated experience may be considered in lieu of required educationActive, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification with no prior FAA violationsMust have reliable transportation to and from work locationsAbility to speak, read and write in EnglishAbility to understand and interpret applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publicationsExperience using tooling and fixtures for depot level modification and repair of structural partsA detailed knowledge of aircraft specific tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers, etc. is required Advanced skills in repairing, maintaining and/or troubleshooting aircraft airframes and enginesMust have own tools in good working orderTools will need to be shadowed and inventoried in toolboxMust be able to pass an occupational physical that includes a hearing and vision testTo meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is requiredThe ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Preferred:

FAA repair station and/or Quality Assurance experienceAble to travel on a regular basis and/or work different shifts including overtime and weekendsBackground in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US MilitaryExperience on wide body aircraft including, but not limited to, Boeing 767, 777 and 747Proficient in basic computer operation

A&P Mechanic IV

Must-haves:
