Responsible for setting policy, strategic planning, development and function of all assigned offices: Human Resources, EEO, Procurement, Information Technology, and Facilities. Serves as subject matter expert in support of District administrative functions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The selected candidate must meet the advertised minimum qualifications to include State Entry Qualifications as well as Agency Specific Minimum Qualifications. STATE ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications to be determined by hiring organization based upon position requirements. AGENCY SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS: Ā· Possession of a bachelorā€™s of business administration or bachelorā€™s degree in a related field and five years of management experience in area of assignment Ā· Significant professional training and experience in applying principles, standards, laws, and/or regulations in a relevant field. Ā· Demonstrated ability to create policies, procedures and/or initiatives to support the Departmentā€™s strategic goals. Ā· Possess strong leadership skills, with the demonstrated experience to lead employees, foster team spirit, motivate and guide subordinates toward accomplishment of office/district/department goals. Ā· Demonstrated ability to deliver Division responsibilities on time and within budgetary constraints Ā· Possesses strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to express ideas and facts to groups and individuals effectively Ā· Demonstrated experience identifying and solving problems and applying innovative solutions to facilitate organizational improvements Ā· Committed to providing quality customer service PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Ā· Possess a Masterā€™s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field Ā· Demonstrated experience training, planning, directing and evaluating the work of staff; in building effective work teams; in appropriately managing workforce diversity Ā· Demonstrated ability to build an organizational culture of trust and effectively engage staff Ā· Demonstrated experience developing and/or implementing short and long-term organizational change and motivating others to reach goals Ā· Possesses strong leadership skills with the knowledge and understanding of where the organization is headed and how to make a contribution Ā· Demonstrated experience to develop new approaches to situations, such as but not limited to, data analysis and analytics, and applies innovative solutions where existing methods are inapplicable or unavailable Ā· Demonstrated competency in integrating technology to make organizational improvements IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL GDOT JOBS The interview is just one part of the overall selection process and is not the only criteria used to make the final selection. Good Employment Standing: In accordance with the Interview and Selection Process (ISP), an applicant must have no active disciplinary actions to be in good employment standing. Actions that may disqualify an applicant include letters of reprimand (active for 12 months after issuance date); suspension without pay or disciplinary demotion (active for 12 months from the effective date); Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) and Leave Restriction Plans (active until 12 months after the date of conclusion). In addition, an employee must have an overall ePerformance rating score of three (3) or higher on their most current evaluation. Please note that Memorandums of Concern are not considered disqualifying factors. Human Resources may remove any employee from consideration for selection who is pending a disciplinary action; however, if the action is resolved in the employeeā€™s favor, he or she will be allowed to compete.
