ABA Therapist - Experience with Challenging Behaviors Required- Bronxville Department:Behavior Technician Location:Bronxville, NY In this dynamic, hands-on role, you-ll provide one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy in the comfort of a child-s home. This role requires experience handling aggressive and challenging behaviors in children. What You-ll Do + Help children on the autism spectrum develop key life skills through personalized ABA therapy, specifically focusing on managing aggressive and challenging behaviors. + Use fun, creative, and positive reinforcement techniques to foster progress, including strategies for de-escalating challenging behaviors when they arise. + Collaborate with families to ensure continuity of care, especially in addressing and modifying aggressive behaviors, and tailor strategies to meet each child-s unique needs. + Monitor progress and share valuable insights with a caring team led by a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst), especially in relation to the management of aggressive and challenging behaviors. + Implement strategies to improve the child-s behavioral skills, ensuring a safe and positive environment for both the child and others. What We-re Looking For + A passion for working with children and a desire to make a difference, particularly in managing challenging and aggressive behaviors. + Previous experience in working with kids or a background in behavioral therapy is a plus (but not required). + Experience or willingness to work with children exhibiting aggressive and challenging behaviors. + Strong communication skills to connect with children and families, especially in times of behavioral escalation. + A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to care, particularly when managing difficult behaviors. + A high school diploma.
