ABX Professional Loadmaster - Outbased

This position will require you to travel to the operation’s origin and primarily work as a flying loadmaster, but it can require occasional ground-based duty. As such you will supervise and direct the loading / unloading of all types of customer (commercial / military) cargo on our B-767 aircraft during our contract flying operations. Specific duties include planning, building, restraining, and loading aircraft cargo; computing aircraft Weight & Balance; inspecting and accepting hazardous cargo; and conducting TSA cargo and Ground Security Coordinator duties, aircraft security measures. You must be able to operate various pieces of aircraft loading and ground equipment, perform aircraft pushback & marshaling duties, and perform various border clearance functions. Report safety, SMS and emergency incidents and concerns. Conduct SMS Safety Assurance auditing and Safety Risk Management of ground operations processes and services provided by airline employees and contractors. Communicate, coordinate, and provide technical assistance to company, regulatory, contractor, customer, and Professional Loadmaster staff.  Travel is required 100% of the time.

Fly as a loadmaster planning, building, restraining, and loading aircraft cargo; computing aircraft Weight & Balance; inspecting and accepting hazardous cargo; and conducting TSA cargo and Ground Security Coordinator duties, aircraft security measures.

Conduct SMS Safety Assurance (auditing) and Safety Risk Management processes.

Conduct training with new loadmasters and ground handlers.

Staff the GTScheduler service, communicating, coordinating, and providing technical assistance to company, regulatory, contractor, customer, and Professional Loadmaster staff.

You must have previous aircraft loadmaster experience on heavy cargo aircraft, with a minimum of either 2,000 logged flying hours; or at least 4 years commercial loadmaster flying experience; or at least 4 years experience in supervising the building, restraining, load planning, inspecting and loading of cargo on heavy cargo aircraft.

You must be able to inspect and document hazardous materials for air shipment; excel in load planning, cargo build-up and restraint (including heavy and outsized cargo), and aircraft weight and balance computation;

You must be able to obtain ABX Loadplanner and Dangerous Goods Inspector certifications

You must be able to work unsupervised while part of a flight crew

You must be able to travel on company aircraft, and don necessary emergency equipment

You must be able to withstand outdoor / adverse working conditions; and be able to perform extensive, scheduled or ad-hoc international travel

 

You must possess, or obtain at your expense, a U.S. Passport

You must be able to pass a background check and TSA security threat assessment

You must be able to obtain US airport SIDA access

You must be able to operate a laptop or tablet, portable printer, smart phone

use Microsoft Excel

You must be able to use Company email and Microsoft Excel


Starting Salary is $50K annually
