Academic Advisor

Position Purpose:

The Academic Advisor serves as student academic advisor, advocate for new and continuing students attending MCCN. Facilitates student persistence and enrollment management , develops and monitors student educational plans while assisting with their academic journey.

What we are looking for:

Education:  Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, health sciences or a related degree required; Master’s preferred    Experience:  At least 5 years of experience in academic student advisement; including, but not limited to online adult student advisementExcellent Communication SkillsHighly organizedSelf-directedCustomer service oriented to both students and colleagues within the college and communityAbility to provide a high level of support and guidance to students, and follow upUnderstanding of student information systems (SIS) usage and ability to develop data and reporting system
