Posting Number: S05782P Department: NSM Deans Office Salary Range: $42,440 - $50,000 Pay Basis: Monthly Position Status: Regular full-time Location: Richardson Job Description: To participate in the planning and delivery of academic advising services and programs which promote comprehensive educational opportunities for all students. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: + Demonstrates ability to work as a team member. + Knowledge and understanding of university policies and procedures, academic requirements, and campus resources. + Ability to use multiple computer systems including PeopleSoft, OnBase, StudentBook, and well as Microsoft Office. + Ability to identify student’s needs in order to make appropriate referrals; maintain confidentiality of student records. + Possesses strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; strong + Organizational and management skills. Long periods of sitting and using computers/keyboard; ability to lift boxes/files and carry up to 25 pounds to various offices across campus, constant verbal and written communication with students via email and in person visits and or phone. Ability to work as a team and dependability. Some weekend and evening hours required for this position. Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years related experience; or Master’s degree. Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of related experience or Master’s degree.
