Shift 40 hours per week; Mostly Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; and there may be some evenings and weekends. Job Summary The College of Education seeks to employ a Professional Advisor to join the Undergraduate Student Success Team to advise Kinesiology & Health Promotion and Sport Leadership majors. Advisors build supportive and personalized relationships with students and mentor them through their undergraduate program. Advisors participate in activities to ensure the recruitment, progression, and completion of a successful, varied, high-quality College of Education student body. The Office of Undergraduate Student Success in the College of Education is organized to take full advantage of the technological tools that are available in the University and the College to maximize student retention and program completion. This position involves daily communication with students, parents, faculty, visitors, and off-campus constituents.

Student Success will, from the time of early college outreach to graduation and beyond, support students in living a life of meaning and purpose. From a student-centered framework, our practice will be grounded in peer-reviewed literature, national best practices, and data-informed decision making. Collaborating with the campus and community, Student Success will work through a holistic lens to support a diverse community of learners in achieving success. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities MS Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience Minimum of three years experience in a student service office at the university level is required.
