Academic Partnerships Manager - Cincinnati, Ohio

Job Overview:

The Academic Partnerships Manager will serve as an internal consultant to TriHealth executives, physician leadership, and management to provide strategic project management and overall leadership support for key initiatives and underlying workstreams related to academic partnerships, including the TriHealth/Xavier Academic Affiliation planning process. This position will be responsible for working with IT and internal stakeholders to install and manage a new “Learner” Management software system. The Academic Partnerships Manager will report to the VP of Academic Affairs, DIO and will work closely with the Senior Advisor to the CEO. 

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Physical or Life Science, Medical, Nursing or Allied Health field, or related field required, Master’s Degree preferred.
Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree
5-7 years of professional experience in healthcare, business, operations, business development and/or integration, strategic partnerships or consulting preferred.  
Experience dealing with physician leaders, program directors and executives at “partner” institutions is highly desirable
Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Strong analytical skills 
Strong executive presence with the ability to lead high level stakeholder meetings and project planning/execution meetings.
Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP), Six Sigma, Lean, or similar training preferred.
Project leadership and management (i.e., uses project planning rigor including defining project scope, creating charters and work plans)
Change management
Written communication (e.g., emails, memos, etc.) 
Large and small group discussion/meeting presentation and facilitation as needed 
Ability to work with and across all levels of the organization from the CEO, executive leadership team, physicians, physician leaders and with front line managers.
Analytics / data management (e.g., applies expertise and professionalism in data analytics, spreadsheet management)
Interpersonal communications demonstrating professionalism in communication and presentations – taking audience needs in to account

Job Responsibilities:

Facilitates the installation of new “Learner” Management software and has accountability for the ongoing management of the system and scheduling of Learners at TriHealth: By 2027 it is estimated that TriHealth will have close to 1,000 Learners onsite daily
Accountable for maintaining an accurate inventory of Learners. Manages Learner management software to produce daily/weekly schedules for each Learner. Works with educators, preceptors, and operations leaders to insure the appropriate distribution of Learners in clinical and non-clinical sites. Manages relationships with organizations that are sending Learners to TriHealth.


Manages multiple projects/ workstreams/ priorities, timely execution, and management of deliverables with professionalism consistent with the TriHealth Values and Always Behaviors: Project planning rigor including defining project scope, creating charters and work plans that include change management strategies. Supports project / workstream owners, including tracking progress against timelines, identifying / resolving barriers, and recommending adjustments while creatively engaging project teams and internal customers; escalates issues as needed 

Facilitates key planning meetings with executive leadership, with workgroup/workstream leadership, and with key physician stakeholders (i.e., develops agenda, facilitates discussion, records key discussion points, synthesizes findings and/or decisions as needed, follows up on tasks identified): Applies tools and techniques specific to project management, organizational development, change management, and data analysis as needed. Demonstrates an advanced level of expertise and professionalism in spreadsheet, word processing, presentation, process flow mapping, and project management software as needed

Creates deliverables consistent with TriHealth’s expectations and standards of quality that are tailored to various audiences including workgroup/workstream meetings, executive-level report-outs, and board-level presentations.

Provides leadership in change management related to the projects: Works with TriHealth senior leadership and physician leaders to identify potential barriers to success and collaboratively develops strategies to mitigate identified barriers.
