Academic Personnel Spec Sr

The Department of Psychology in The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Academic Personnel Specialist, Sr. to perform work of considerable responsibility in supporting administrative services. The Academic Personnel Specialist, Sr. will perform complex academic personnel actions and faculty recruitment processes; assist in the coordination of department faculty events, and maintains official records. The Academic Personnel Specialist, Sr. serves as a resource to perform HR activities for faculty and academic professionals and advises on policies, procedures, statues, and laws.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to maintain effective working relationships in a diverse population and have experience in maintaining confidential and sensitive information. Knowledge and ability to interpret academic and university policies and procedures and the ability to identify and implement best practices is preferred. The incumbent will have contact with high-level administrators requiring use of business vocabulary, tact, discretion and judgment. The candidate will report to the Senior Business Operations Manager.

Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of directly related academic administrative experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
