UMass Chan Medical School and UMass Memorial Health seek an aspiring physician leader to serve as Clinical Chief for our rapidly growing Division of Rheumatology within a renowned multi-hospital academic health system. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual passionate about advancing patient-centered, high-quality clinical care and optimizing clinical operations across multiple practice sites. This role offers the chance to collaborate closely with the Division Chief and other physician leaders to shape the future of clinical care, research, and education in the field of rheumatology.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the clinical practice operations for the Division of Rheumatology, ensuring high standards of care and patient safety.
Promote the use of digital health tools to enhance patient access, streamline workflows, and improve patient outcomes.
Oversee the integration of the division’s tripartite mission of clinical care, research, and education in collaboration with the Chief of the Division.
Collaborate with physician leaders across various subspecialties to foster innovative, interdisciplinary clinical care and improve multi-disciplinary care coordination.
Drive the development and expansion of disease-specific programs, including lupus, musculoskeletal (MSK), digital osteoporosis, and early arthritis, ensuring they are continually evolving to meet patient and community needs.
Support and mentor faculty, fellows, and residents to cultivate leadership in clinical care and academic excellence.
Lead initiatives aimed at improving clinical outcomes, patient access, and operational efficiencies.
Qualifications:
MD or equivalent medical degree with Board Certification in Rheumatology.
Proven leadership skills and experience in managing clinical operations in a healthcare setting.
Strong commitment to advancing patient-centered care and optimizing clinical workflows.
Experience in promoting and integrating digital health solutions within clinical settings.
Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
Passion for advancing academic research and education in the field of rheumatology.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
