Job Description:Event Planning: Responsible for organizing and promoting all Office of Admissions events including (but not limited to) Pre-Dental Forum, Pre-Dental Fair, open houses, DMD interview day activities, committee meetings, office meetings, and retreats. These responsibilities include securing meeting space, ordering and coordinating catering, designing promotional materials, as well as promoting events to pre-dental advisors, pre-dental students, dental students, dental faculty, and any additional audiences deemed appropriate.
Outreach and Recruitment: Responsible for managing and coordinating recruitment efforts for pre-dental and predoctoral students throughout Florida and the U.S., with the probability of travel to some of these areas. Responsible for PowerPoint and oral presentations to these groups. Responsible for participation in virtual recruiting fairs. Responsible for showcasing programmatic accomplishment and highlights. Responsible for advisement of pre-dental students, advisors, and parents of students interested in the field of dentistry. Responsible for assisting the Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Involvement with Office of Admissions-related activities, by providing event planning, promotional, and organizational support for the Summer Health Professions Education Program at UF.
Public Relations: Responsible for coordinating the Office of Admissions efforts to develop and manage appropriate outward presence. Responsible for coordinating public relations efforts with UFCD Communications Director. Responsible for graphic design, videos, and multi-media content for advertising, newsletters, and publications. Responsible for networking with students and faculty at designated UF and UFCD events.
Responsible for managing the Admissions Outreach Ambassadors (AOA), BS-DMD professional development program, and miscellaneous program activities: This includes managing and monitoring ambassador sign-ups, establishing and maintaining a relationship with the AOA leadership, encouraging AOA students to sign-up for activities, management of the AOA-Accepted DMD student pairing program, and relaying all relevant information to the students. Responsible for management of the BS-DMD professional development program, including planning guest speakers and activities. Responsible for coordinating Shadow a Gator Student Dentist Day for accepted and current DMD students. Coordinates with UFCD Office of Academic Affairs and Student Affairs and Involvement when necessary for issues/events that involve UFCD Office of Admissions, such as DMD Orientation week. Responsible for offering assistance and technical support, as needed, to the Associate Dean for Admissions and Financial Aid.
Office of Admissions Website: This position is responsible for managing the process, collecting content, and working directly with technical support. Due to increased competition for dental students, updating/maintaining the website is a very high priority. Responsible for assistance in organizing and maintaining Accepted Student’s Website/entering student communications interface.
Expected Salary:$40,000 - $50,000, commensurate with education and experience

Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
