Academic Program Specialist III
Job Description:As the Academic Program Specialist III, you will be at the forefront of shaping the educational experience for students, faculty, and the broader academic community. You'll take charge of working of AI faculty across the University of Florida on designing and developing cutting-edge academic programs, including AIPassport for Health and Biomedical Research, that set the standard for excellence and innovation in AI (Artificial Intelligence). Your role will encompass smooth implementation of the strategic vision, training program development, implementation and evaluation and student engagement, all while working with a talented team to drive exceptional results.
About This Role
Academic Program Development
Curriculum design and development of various training modalities in partnership with faculty. Lead the implementation of academic programs, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Develop, implement, and administer program policies and procedures. Represent the college/program to the broader university community, external organizations, and key stakeholders.Program Evaluation and Reporting
Conduct research to assess implementation strategy, program performance, progress toward objectives, and outcomes. Adjust programs based on evaluation data. Conducts focus groups, surveys and 1:1 interviews. Compile program statistics, prepare evaluation and sponsor reports, and contribute to compliance and survey participation.Administrative Processes and Documentation
Ensure completion and maintenance of required documentation, forms, and records including IRBs. Serve as a liaison between students, faculty, and department staff for administrative matters. Student recruitment, admission, registration, and progression. Manage and monitor program budgets, expenses, and financial records. Assist in the creation and distribution of marketing materials for the program, including print and digital resources. Organize and manage events, lectures, conferences, seminars, and workshops, ensuring seamless execution.About COM's Office of Research

Expected Salary:$80,000 - $86,000
Minimum Requirements:Master’s degree and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:The ideal candidate will possess:
Degree in Education, Business Administration, or related field with previous experience; advanced degree preferred. Experience with the use of AI and machine learning is highly desirable. Demonstrated experience in academic program management, customer service, recruitment, or admissions. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of current practices and trends in the training/learning/development field and networks with other leaders in the field or across the organization Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and adapt to changing needs. Experience with budget management, financial tracking, and reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and SharePoint. Experience handling confidential information with discretion. Experience in event planning and coordination. Familiarity with student information systems and academic databases. Ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives for academic programs.
