Job Description:

The University of Florida College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry is currently seeking an academic Psychiatrist to join our expanding program in picturesque coastal northeast Florida. We have a team of excellent faculty and eager trainees who provide inpatient psychiatry services to a diverse patient population with a broad range of psychopathology. The Department is dedicated to integrated and trauma-informed care, health equity, excellence in resident and student education, telehealth, care of treatment-resistant patients, and research excellence.

This Emergency Psychiatry Services faculty position is 1.0 FTE (Full-time) non-tenure track and includes direct patient care, teaching, and supervision predominantly in the emergency room and inpatient psychiatric services, but also may include some consult-liaison activities and outpatient clinic. There is protected time for scholarly/academic work. The rank of the appointment is open and will be commensurate with the experience and professional accomplishments of the selected applicant.”

Expected Salary:

Negotiable; commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Candidates should have a MD/DO in Psychiatry.

Preferred Qualifications:

BE/BC is preferred. Experience/training in the assessment and treatment of patients in an outpatient and emergency room setting.
