Accelerate, Complete, Engage (ACE) is a comprehensive academic support program designed to help students in specific at-risk economic and educational categories complete their academic journey to a bachelor's degree on time. Modeled on the principles of CUNY's highly successful and nationally recognized Accelerated Study in Associate Programs (ASAP), ACE provides intensive academic advisement, career development, tuition scholarships, textbooks, and transportation assistance.
The ACE Advisor is a member of an integrated college team providing individual academic and personal support to an assigned group of SUNY Poly students as they progress through the program.
+ Deliver comprehensive advisement support services to an assigned group of up to approximately 150 undergraduate students through degree completion; provide leadership, oversight and direction to students and SUNY Poly colleagues to ensure goals, programs, activities, and personnel practices are consistent with and contribute to the institution's retention goals and strategies for student success.
+ Review student progress and track student use of academic support services;
+ Maintain accurate tracking data and notes for each assigned student, recommending appropriate referrals and opportunity programs, and conduct regular outreach to faculty and other SUNY Poly staff as needed.
+ Support annual recruitment of new students into the program.
+ Organize periodic special events for students, faculty and staff; may conduct or support delivery of student seminars on issues of importance to students, including career opportunities.
+ Other reasonable duties as assigned.
Salary: $50,000 - $55,000

Job Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree from a College or University accredited by the US Department of Education or other internationally recognized accrediting organization and a minimum of two years relevant experience; or a master's degree in a relevant discipline from a college or University accredited by the US Department of Education or other internationally recognized accrediting organization and a minimum of one year of relevant experience.
+ Strong understanding of the needs of freshmen and transfer college students.
+ Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
+ Demonstrated ability to work well with faculty and administrators.
+ Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
+ Strong organization, project management, and facilitation skills;
+ Ability to enter, monitor, and interpret student data accurately.
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills;
+ Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office (Access); and aptitude to learn new systems as needed.
