We’re looking for qualified candidates like you to join our Texas Health family._ + Work location: Texas Health Resources (Dallas, TX) + Core work hours: Monday – Friday 8:00a-5:00p **Position Summary** This job is responsible for managing Security Access Control and Communications management with maintaining and administering the networked security systems equipment needed to access sensitive or restricted areas of all Texas Health Resources owned or leased sites. The Badging Manager will have complete responsibility for managing the system badging standard and associated process to lifecycle manage the issuance, activation, and deactivation of all access control cards. This includes coordinating and following up on service and maintenance of all the security systems equipment, administration of the card access system, making security system software changes, and responsibility for creating/tracking employee and contractor badges.This is a new role created to streamline and consolidate badging activities across all Texas Health locations under the Texas Health Security Systems & Technology Team. **Job Description** Full responsibility for Security Access Control to all facilities through the administration of the security card access system software and enforcing security system standards and policies. This includes programming system software changes, creating and assigned new access levels for new card reader installations, programming and updating system device groups, and updating cardholder information in the system database. Manage Security Access Control hardware including the coordination and scheduling of all the repairs of card access hardware and facilitate integration of digital video systems. This also includes coordination with the service vendors and covering as a Security Systems on-call person on nights and weekends. Interfacing with various departments including responsible security Directors and Security Site Supervisors as needed regarding the repairs of the security systems equipment. This includes interfacing with Engineering regarding door hardware equipment repairs and interfacing with Information Systems/Telecom regarding network and telecom connectivity for access control equipment. Supervise and assist the Badging Specialists with creating access card badges for employees, contractors, and medical staff when needed. This also includes photographing employees/staff and creating security badges, inputting and updating cardholder information, importing and exporting cardholder photos, creating, modifying and assigning card access levels to badges. Responsible for promptly responding to user requests to include: providing support to employees and staff with badge requests, verifying requests for badge access and assigning access levels as needed, troubleshooting security badge issues and running weekly badge access reports. Responsible for creating/writing and enforcement of policies, rules and regulations to include verification of employee/contractor government issued IDs before issuing security badges, and communication of current badge access policies. **Education** H.S.
