Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Access Control Technician in the Greater Cleveland, Ohio area. This role entails working on numerous aspects of access control systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The position is within the broadband and data networks industry, where you will be interacting with a variety of technologies, including Verkada, Hanwha, and Honeywell security solutions. Responsibilities: • Traveling to various customer premises to install and configure new security systems, video equipment, and access control devices. • Conducting routine checks and maintenance of existing access control systems, which may involve working on components such as card readers, electric strikes, mag locks, door handles, control boards, and sensors. • Utilizing technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and drawings to ensure equipment is installed in the correct locations. • Complying with local codes and regulations pertaining to access control and fire safety. • Engaging with customers to gain a clear understanding of their security requirements and needs. • Creating and maintaining comprehensive records of all services performed, installations completed, and any potential issues encountered, adhering to both company policies and customer specifications. • Applying your knowledge of Cisco Technologies during the installation and troubleshooting processes. • Undertaking responsibilities related to cable installation and ensuring the stability of data networks. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as an Access Control Technician or in a similar role. • Proficient in Access Control, demonstrating a keen understanding of its principles and practical application. • Familiar with Broadband systems, capable of troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining such networks. • Proficiency in using Cisco Technologies, including hardware and software, for networking purposes. • In-depth knowledge of Data Networks, including setting up, managing, and securing these networks. • Demonstrable experience in Cable Installation, ensuring proper setup and maintenance for optimal performance.
