Access Intake Coordinator
+ DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION + Greets all patients and families presenting to ER for services and initiates registration process in Meditech. Lays the foundation for a positive patient experience by providing a courteous and professional reception to our facility. Effectively communicates with Triage Nurse and Patient/Family Liaison in order to expedite patient’s access to services. Accurately and efficiently enters required demographic and visit information into Registration System. + POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.) + Experience: + Meditech experience preferred. One year experience in hospital environment with patient care or patient relation experience preferred. + Education and Training: + Medical terminology preferred + License, Certification & Registration: + Other Requirements: + Proven typing ability (40 wpm) and computer skills (ie. Meditech). + Manual dexterity necessary for typing/computer purposes. + Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills. + Ability to speak/understand Spanish preferred. + Must demonstrate and maintain a high level of customer service awareness and skills. + Proven ability to interact appropriately with the community, hospital staff and physicians and maintain high level of confidentiality. + Must possess and demonstrate strong organizational skills and flexibility. + Ability to speak the English language in a clearly understandable manner. + Ability to troubleshoot/maintain proper operation of business equipment preferred.
