Job Summary: Provides complete access management to the patient population that utilizes the services of CaroMont Health, including responsibility for positive patient identification and providing customer excellent service to the population served. This also encompasses registration, pre-registration, compliance, managed care requirements, and functions as a liaison between patients, physician offices, and third party payor. Responsible for collecting applicable patient responsibility from patients and provides direct financial counseling and/or staff support to those patients with no or inadequate third party coverage. Provides interpreter services to Access Management.
Qualifications: Education/Formal Training: Two year college degree in Business Administration or equivalent work experience. Work Experience: Minimum of one year experience in registration or patient accounts in healthcare environment and customer service. Considerable knowledge of insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, collections, and other business office-related duties. Special Skills/Abilities: Excellent communication and decision making skills, ability to multi-task, ability to type 45 wpm. Must pass competency test in second language to meet interpretation requirements.
