Lab Accessioner/Specimen Processor Job descriptions: · Manually opens specimen bags and logs in the number and type of specimens received. · Stores supplies and assists in maintaining inventory. · Sorts specialty test samples in proper order. · Look up patient test results in the laboratory information system. · Send test results to Physicians via the appropriate method. · File copies of test results, authorization forms and test orders. · Process paperwork with attention to detail, completing tasks with accuracy and precision. Additional Skills & Qualifications · High school graduate or equivalent. · Prefer experienced Certified phlebotomist but certification not required. · Previous Medical lab experience required.
