Job Title: Accessioning Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Accessioning Technician to join our team - this lab processes women's health samples from across the country, performs the required tests, and sends the results back to the original doctor or clinic.

The Accessioning Technician is responsible for handling all incoming samples and preparing them for lab technicians.

This role involves data entry, preparing samples, and ensuring accurate information is uploaded into the database.

ResponsibilitiesReceive and prepare incoming lab samples for processing.Enter patient information such as name, DOB, phone number, email, and insurance into the database.Generate and manage print files for each specimen.Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of records.Transport samples from the office space to the lab.Assist lab technicians by ensuring samples are properly prepared and documented.Essential SkillsHigh School Diploma or higher.Proficiency in data entry, typing, and computer skills.Strong attention to detail.Ability to stand and sit for the entire shift.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in laboratory settings, particularly in sample preparation, accessioning, chemistry, and biology.Administrative support experience.Work Environment

This role operates in an office space/lab environment. Data entry tasks are performed while seated at a computer desk. Sample transport requires standing and walking to the lab. The position is scheduled Tuesday through Saturday, from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
