Position Summary

Responsible for designing, developing, launching accessory products and hitting accessory sales/profit budget. Analyzes market, competitors and understands market dynamics and requirements. Rallies sales team behind accessory products and initiatives and drives a profitable business.

ResponsibilitiesManages and plans product development for accessories, including designing the product and/or working with vendors to design the product.Recommend marketing goals and strategies for accessory category.Researches, analyses, and monitors technological, and demographic factors so that market opportunities may be capitalized on and the effects of competitive activity may be minimized.Responsible for researching market (market analysis, competitor analysis) to develop new products and improve existing products on sales/profit/market share/inventory control/inventory depletion.Partners with vendors on the development and creation of new products including the coordination of samples, product delivery timelines, vendor negotiations and resolving material and quality issues.Responsible for forecasting, sourcing, ordering and managing in-stock levels for all accessory items.Manages MAF process and new product set up for accessory products as well as any promotional activity.Manages licensing ensuring that our contracts are in place and licensing requirements are met. Engages in on-going profitability analysis of licensed products to ensure they are meeting internal margin requirements.Monitors sales/profit/inventory situations and recommends adjustments accordingly.Applies PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle for every product and make necessary adjustments from sales/profit/inventory perspective.Recommends and manages pricing strategy to increase of sales and share of the market.Responsible for sales communication on all accessory-related topics.Gathers and presents information affecting the design and development of new products including production capabilities, manufacturing problems, and economic trends.Reviews technical publications, articles, and magazines to stay informed of developments within the golf industry.Works closely with Japan and Bridgestone Golf liaison (USA) to align product (when applicable) and understand marketing strategy for the domestic market (Japan) and other markets.Responsible for ensuring assets and product information are available and accurate on all platforms.Responsible for formulating and supporting execution of launch plans/announcement plans of all accessories in conjunction with other relevant marketing team members.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
