The Account Director, Services will strategically lead the Benefit Cosmetics service business within Ulta Beauty and will develop and execute a comprehensive national service strategy. This role will be responsible for driving national service sales growth and elevating the client experience through strategic account management, innovative marketing partnerships, operational excellence, and collaborative field team engagement.

 

 

What You’ll Do:

National Service Strategy Development & Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive national service strategy that aligns with Benefit's overall business objectives and maximizes market share within Ulta Beauty. Identify key growth opportunities, develop innovative service offerings, and implement strategic initiatives to drive service sales and penetration across all Ulta locations. Strategic Account Management: Cultivate and manage key relationships at both the national and regional levels within Ulta Beauty, developing a deep understanding of their business needs and aligning Benefit's service strategies to achieve mutual success. Lead joint business planning sessions and quarterly business reviews to track progress, identify opportunities, and ensure alignment on strategic objectives. Service Sales Growth & Performance Management: Establish and achieve ambitious service sales goals across all Ulta doors. Analyze sales data, market trends, and client insights to identify growth drivers and develop targeted initiatives that deliver measurable results. Monitor performance against KPIs and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded. Marketing Collaboration & Innovation: Partner with Benefit and Ulta marketing teams to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns that promote service offerings and drive client engagement at the national and local levels. Collaborate on co-branded initiatives, promotional events, and digital marketing strategies to expand service reach and awareness. Explore innovative marketing approaches to differentiate Benefit's service offerings within the competitive landscape. Operational Excellence & Process Optimization: Oversee day-to-day service operations within Ulta, optimizing processes and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and profitability. Manage the Benefit service business P&L within Ulta, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures. Field Team Collaboration & Enablement: Partner with the SVP, Sales and Education to identify training needs and develop programs that support consistent service excellence and sales execution across all Ulta locations. Provide field teams with the tools, resources, and support they need to effectively deliver exceptional client experiences and achieve sales targets.

 

Qualifications:

8+ years of progressive experience in account management, sales, or marketing within the beauty/cosmetics or retail industry, with a proven track record of driving sales growth and building strong retailer partnerships. 3+ years of experience managing national accounts or leading large-scale, complex projects, demonstrating the ability to develop and execute strategic plans, manage budgets, and achieve business objectives. Experience working with a major beauty retailer (e.g., Ulta, Sephora) is highly preferred. Experience developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, social media, and event marketing, is highly desirable. Experience managing a P&L and demonstrating financial accountability is strongly preferred.

 

 

Schedule:

 

Hybrid - requires onsite presence weekly to a Benefit Office.

 

 

 

The target salary range for this position in California is $150,000 - $180,000 annually. The actual salary offered is based on market location and will depend on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, years of relevant experience; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. This position is eligible to earn an annual bonus.
