KLAS 8 News Now is actively recruiting for a Digital Media Account Executive to join our team in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Digital Media Account Executive generates digital advertising revenue by calling on local and regional businesses and agencies to develop new prospects. They will sell digital marketing solutions to these businesses utilizing Nexstar’s full suite of digital products. 8NewsNow.com is a market-leading local news website with opportunities to sell custom sponsorships, display, video, local news CTV and creative production services. Nexstar Digital Marketing Services offers a full suite of products including CTV/OTT, targeted video, email, SEM, social and more.
The Digital Media Account Executive will achieve budgeted revenue goals by selling both KLAS core digital assets and Nexstar Digital Marketing Services with the objective of advancing client marketing goals and achieving client KPIs.
This vital sales department role consists primarily of individual sales – developing, pitching, closing, maintaining and growing a base of clients (90% of time) plus assisting the sales leadership team with special projects related to digital sales (10% of time). The compensation plan includes a base salary plus monthly sales commission with the opportunity to develop local, regional and multi-market business.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Meet or exceed individual revenue targets and develop a strategy to support achievement of goals
+ Prospect, qualify, develop, close, and grow new digital advertising business
+ Identify and prospect new clients while maintaining a healthy pipeline of potential leads
+ Cold calling is a must - make in-person sales calls and phone calls to reach key decision makers
+ Establish credible relationships with local and regional businesses
+ Conduct in-depth needs analysis to understand each client's unique advertising goals
+ Develop and present customized digital advertising solutions. Must be able to confidently pitch and effectively close new business.
+ Maintain and grow active accounts while developing new business
+ Provide regular follow-up reporting to clients using detailed analytics
+ Responsible for order entry, contracts, follow-up and collections
+ Play a pivotal role in facilitating the creation of client’s ads with our production team
+ Develop a file of success stories and case studies to share with the sales team
+ Share knowledge of digital media products and trends during sales training meetings
+ Assist sales management team with special projects related to digital sales
+ Other duties as assigned
Requirements & Skills:
+ Expertise selling a variety of digital media advertising products including CTV/OTT, targeted video, email, SEM, social, targeting methods and analytics reporting
+ A strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
+ Excellent presentation skills are essential - Ability to write, design and deliver clear and concise information in a creative and compelling format
+ Strong time management skills, consistently meets deadlines
+ Effective relationship building, customer service, communication and negotiation skills
+ Knowledge of media plans, advertising marketplace, and key competition
+ Ability to quickly recover from adversity and rejection
+ Can excel in a fast-paced, revenue-driven sales environment
+ Ability to effectively build rapport and relate well to all kinds of people
+ Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products plus the ability to quickly learn new industry specific software
+ Professional appearance is a must
+ Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record
Education/Experience
A bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, mass communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or proven work-related experience.
Minimum five years of sales experience with a minimum of 2 years in digital advertising sales.
Physical Demands & Work Environment: The Digital Media Account Executive must be able to sit, reach, conduct telephone conversations, use electronic mail, write letters and memos, conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups, make decisions without supervision, and work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. This is a full time, full benefit position. This is not a work from home role.
