MRI Software is currently seeking a highly motivated and driven Account Executive to join our dynamic team, specializing in our Public/Affordable product offering. As an Account Executive, you will play a key role in driving growth by identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities within a defined territory. You will employ a consultative sales approach, focusing on understanding client needs and presenting tailored solutions. This is a high-impact role where you will have the chance to work closely with our Sales Engineers and Professional Services teams, leveraging their expertise as needed to close business and ensure client success.
What You'll Do:
As an Account Executive, you will take ownership of the following responsibilities:
Prospect and Generate Leads: Conduct high-volume telephone outreach to potential clients in competitive markets, generating new leads and driving software agreements.
Consult with Clients: Engage with existing clients to uncover their critical business challenges and strategic objectives, identifying opportunities to expand licensing to additional MRI solutions.
Present and Demonstrate: Deliver impactful software demonstrations and presentations to potential clients, showcasing how our solutions address their unique pain points.
Collaborate and Share Knowledge: Work alongside a collaborative sales team, exchanging insights and strategies to maximize business development opportunities.
Strategic Sales Management: Take full ownership of the sales process— from identifying top prospects and conducting market analysis to negotiating and closing deals.
Attend Industry Events: Represent MRI at industry conferences, trade shows, and association meetings, positioning yourself and the company as a trusted leader in the space.
Key Responsibilities:
Exceed Sales Targets: Consistently achieve or surpass your annual sales quota.
Prospecting & Lead Generation: Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities through direct outreach and lead generation activities.
Develop Sales Strategies: Build and execute strategic plans for targeting new prospects, while fostering strong relationships with existing clients to uncover expansion opportunities.
Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, understanding their evolving needs and delivering tailored solutions.
Collaborative Approach: Work with cross-functional teams to align sales efforts and contribute to shared business development goals.
Competitor Insight: Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to strategically position MRI’s offerings and maintain a competitive edge.
Sales Reporting: Provide regular updates on sales performance, opportunities, and territory activity through accurate reporting.
What We're Looking For:
Experience: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3-5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in software or technology sales.
Proven Success: A demonstrated track record of closing new business, exceeding sales quotas, and driving results.
Resilience & Drive: The ability to persevere through rejection and remain focused on achieving goals.
Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling presentations and effectively engage stakeholders at all levels.
Team Player: A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work seamlessly with internal teams, including Sales Engineers and Professional Services.
