The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are currently seeking a Senior Account Executive, Transportation Electrification to join our EV infrastructure team located in either Seattle, Denver, Phoenix, or Dallas.  The team supports our customers' electrification journey with a uniquely consultative approach to engineering, procurement, and construction.

You will be directly responsible for growing McKinstry’s nationwide client base of private sector customers. This role will primarily focus on commercial applications of EV charging, including fleet, workplace, transit, and medium/heavy-duty applications.  

The position will play a critical leadership role during the sales and development phases on projects.


Business Development:

Generate and develop customer relationships. Primary market focus is larger private sector clients with large commercial sites and/or portfolios of buildings that span multiple states or regions. Act as the primary external point of contact with clients until the project is under contract. Lead project development from initial concept through client contract–including coordination of internal engineering, finance, legal, and construction resources. Manage contracts and maintain sales forecast models. Be visible and show industry leadership by attending and presenting at industry events and conferences. Oversee the development, content, and strategic messaging for proposals and presentations to successfully position EV solutions to clients. Coordinate with marketing teams to develop and produce market-facing sales content and collateral. The role will have an annual bookings target and an incentive compensation structure to supplement base pay.

Sales/Team Leadership:

Define where the sales team should focus by building market/vertical sector analysis and development of go-to-market strategies. Create sales tracking and reporting systems.

·       Create and build relationships with trade and industry organizations.

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry:

8-10+ Years of experience of successful B2B sales. Demonstrated experience and relationships from selling to Fortune 500 companies for infrastructure-related products and services. Knowledge of the EV, energy, or infrastructure space preferred. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, economics, or equivalent experience required. Experience should include client management, deal structuring, project finance, project development, real estate and/or facility services, and contract negotiation. Learning and growth mindset. You’ll be surrounded by passionate and collaborative EV professionals. Ability to have fun and maintain and healthy work/life balance. We want you here for the long term.   Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is required; working knowledge of Salesforce and SharePoint preferred. Ability and willingness to travel nationally based on the needs of the organization up to 30%+.

The pay range for this position is $95,175 - $153,000 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
