Account Executive – NSW Commercial Dept/Commercial Employees (CE)
What can you expect?
As an Account Executive you will implement Client First Principles across your portfolio of larger mid-market and smaller SME clients within our Commercial practice, ensuring high quality customer service is always provided and set revenue budgets are consistently attained. In addition to the end-to-end management for a set portfolio of clients, you will effectively collaborate with all team members, provide support to the Commercial Principal and mentor support colleagues including Account Executives. You will also effectively liaise with the onshore and offshore Marsh Administration Teams (MCO) to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, coverage profiles, documentation requests and the like. This will be a hybrid office set-up, which require someone to be in the office 3 days in a week.

Consistently achieve agreed service standards.Foster effective long-term relationships with key client decision makers and frequently monitor political, management and other changes to preserve and protect these relationships.Effectively acquire a thorough understanding and awareness of clients’ business and insurance needs. Recognise new business opportunities and identify products which benefit the client and meet their needs.Effectively navigate both online EDI and Marsh Insurer platforms for quotations, document requests and the like.Liaise and negotiate with a range of Underwriters (both Company and Agency markets) to facilitate manual quotations from the Insurance Market.Take a pro-active approach to all aspects of account management and service delivery to clients, ensuring client needs are identified and metImplement successful account retention and defence strategies.Liaise with the Claims team to ensure that clients’ interests are protected, and claims are settled in a timely manner.Maintain an awareness of all large and potentially complicated claim related matters and assist claims colleagues in the negotiation of equitable claim settlements on behalf of clients.Possess a thorough understanding of all major classes of General insurance which the Company offers to its clients and keep abreast of all new technical and product developments.Possess a thorough working knowledge of all aspects of the Insurance (Agents & Brokers) Act, Insurance Contracts Act, Fire Services Levy, Stamp Duties, Worker's Compensation, and other relevant legislation and keep abreast of all new developments.What you need to have:
Tier 1 Insurance Broking Compliance qualification.Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking) highly desirable.3+ years’ experience in a similar role.Sound knowledge and application of broking principles, insurance products and service. These apply to general insurance products and services.Clear and effective communication skills.Developed negotiation skills.Ability to work autonomously within a multi skilled team.Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload, meet deadlines and good time management skills.Client Service – excellent delivery of technical, administrative, and consulting support to internal and external clients.Change – awareness of environmental, financial, regulatory, and social factors affecting company and clients’ operations and business and knowledge of internal company technological and product capabilities.Commercial Acumen - an in-depth understanding of factors impacting on the delivery of services by the Company.Planning and Organization – development and implementation of courses of action for self and others to ensure that work is completed efficiently and on time.Drive & Self-Motivation - demonstrates a willingness to take on increased responsibilities and displays the ability to act independentlyIf this sounds like the opportunity you've been waiting for, then we want to hear from you!
