The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are currently seeking an  Account Executive to join our Service team based in Portland, OR. Our Account Executive brings in new clients and achieves client retention and renewal through the delivery of quality, value, relationship building/maintenance, and delivering upon client’s business objectives. Are you passionate about building and maintaining client relationships? Do you want to help clients understand the benefits of preventative building maintenance? If so, this position could be for you. Additional responsibilities include:

Identifying and pursuing expansion opportunities for existing clients. Contacting current and potential clients to gain opportunities to bid on maintenance agreements. Setting strategies for primary accounts by interviewing clients to learn about the organization, influencers, and the decision-making process. Creating customized client packages for preventative services and managing repairs Coordinating overall product/project delivery schedule, client deliverables and cross-department deliverables. Ensuring client objectives and issues are dealt with in a thoughtful and effective manner, informing the Strategic Account Manager or Operations Manager of any problems that may arise. Consulting with the Facility Manager to resolve issues. Communicating effectively with the Owners, Property Managers and Subcontractors. Communicating the necessary information to the Field.  (Scope, labor, materials, client info Assessing and communicating staffing needs to the Facility Operations team. 

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry

3-5 years of business to business sales experience with a track record of achieving challenging sales goals required. 3-5 years of experience in account management required. A technical aptitude and ability to speak to technical concepts required. Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction, the management, or equivalent work experience required.

The pay range for this position is $84,240- $130,680 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
