Account Executive
Brownfield is the oldest and largest agricultural radio network in the U.S. Hundreds of radio stations across 10 states carry agricultural programming created by Brownfield’s award-winning team of farm broadcasters. Learfield is also home to four statewide radio networks that provide news, sports and feature programming to radio stations throughout the Midwest, including: Minnesota News Network, MissouriNet, Radio Iowa and Wisconsin Radio Network.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Meet and/or exceed assigned sales goals by developing and selling creative sponsorship to brands and organizations with a need to connect to the rural/farm audience.

Research and build relationships with community, regional, and national companies/brands to connect brands to our niche audience through or portfolio of products and services.

Lead and execute the entirety of the sales process: prospecting, building/presenting sales presentations, creating proposals, negotiating contracts and upselling/renewing current partnerships.

Lead short and long-term strategic account direction, aligned with customer needs and goals.

Manage a sizeable book of business and be responsible for the upselling and renewing of current partners

Entertain clients and work various game day events (including some nights and weekends)

Working as needed with the supporting sales teams

Perform other related duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:

4+ years of conceptual sales experience

Ability to analyze a client’s marketing needs and craft integrated solutions to match

Advanced experience in sales techniques including cold-calling, networking, lead generation, all with the ability to capture and close the deal

Strong communication skills, relationship building, customer service, prioritization, account forecasting / planning, negotiating, consultative selling and superior organizational and time management skills

Advanced negotiating skills with the ability to identify and influence key decision makers

Demonstrated ability to quickly establish and manage internal/external professional relationships

Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite.
