As the Account Executive, you will report to the OpCo Sales Director and be responsible for strategic same-store sales growth of assigned accounts. This role will also prospect and quote on potential new independent and regional chain opportunities. Leverage Core-Mark business solutions, technology and marketing programs to maintain and secure long-term relationships and sales growth.
Primary Responsibilities: Owning Core Performance and Program Execution PowerBI metrics pertaining to House/Non-ledger accounts and reporting on progress internally.Manage independent and regional non-ledger store counts, same store sales, case penetration, and accounts with high/medium risk to leave Core-Mark. Build & maintain key account business relationships with a focus on growing House/Non-Ledger Independent and Regional accounts. Present Core-Mark business solutions and marketing programs to the decision makers of assigned accounts.Collaborate with Foodservice Manager to present and penetrate Food Services Programs/Items with assigned accounts.Conduct annual/quarterly business reviews using RAD with decision makers to grow strategic sales. Develop, present internally and execute annual chain/key account sales growth plans. In-store regular calls to inspect what you expect, uncovering new sales opportunities to increase sales of assigned accounts.Responding to customer daily inquiries and requests on product listings / ordering / authorization / shipping / fill rate and any other service-related matters. Maintaining knowledge of product information, programs, and initiatives.Work with Sales Admin to – Manage vendor connection & communications / establishing and entering seasonal volume demands / price book management, system authorizations for new products and associated fee management related to each customer.Detailed calendar management and communication to ensure customer initiatives are executed on time and accurately is critical.Successful candidate must be able to rally resources quickly/effectively and have a team player mentality.Desired Skills:Excellent customer service, negotiation and communication skills, team player mentality, and industry knowledge. Proficient computer and Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, etc.), specifically with data analysis. Knowledge of Power BI / Cognos / NDS or DCMS inventory management systems is an asset
