Account Executive FortifyIt

Job Summary

FortifyIt, founded in 2019 and previously known as DuraSense, is the premier aftermarket IoT and digital platform solution for facility loading docks. Enabling remote operations insights and asset health analytics on all overhead doors and dock levelers, Fortify drives insights from the dock to the boardroom on any current in-service asset or future installation, regardless of brand. Fortify hardware delivers continuous monitoring to stakeholder’s devices anywhere in the world capable of driving proactive asset management to ensure minimal downtime and first-trip remediation of issues.

The Account Executive will have an entrepreneurial spirit for the growth and success of Fortify. This fast-paced role involves hunting and building a strategic client portfolio and driving data insights through the proprietary digital platform. The Account Executive must engage with decision-makers, skillfully navigate the intricacies of client interactions identifying potential clients, conduct research, and prospect strategically. They appeal to decision-makers, present digital solutions’ value propositions, and cultivate relationships. They must also secure commitment to FORTIFY Solutions through initiative-taking communication, strategic negotiation, and understanding client expectations. 

Essential Functions 

Customer Engagement, by cultivating and sustaining relationships with diverse clients, managing outcomes, and understanding their unique needs.Effectively communicate the value of solutions like IoT, SaaS, and Cloud computing, establishing a strategic partnership, and ensuring long-term impact on clients' technological evolution and business success.Account Management, the Account Executive is responsible for facilitating revenue growth throughout the sales cycle, including initiative-taking prospecting, understanding client needs, and navigating negotiations. Expecting to work occasional nights and/or weekends as required.Proven record as a sales hunter, successfully closing deals and achieving sales targets.Nurture and sustain relationships with clients for recurring business opportunities.Communicate the status of ongoing deals, analyzing potential risks, obstacles, and market factors.A comprehensive approach that commands new business and establishes enduring client partnerships.Sales Excellence, sales professionals must possess proficiency in technical concepts and be able to break down complex challenges from clients to promote solution-focused sales.Finalize sales transactions, ensure optimal performance, and secure deal closure. Collaborating with departments like Contracts, Finance, and Accounting is crucial for the seamless onboarding of new business ventures, fostering cross-functional understanding, and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Remote (Mountain time zone or East)Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.Comfortable working in a fast-paced early-stage environment, thriving amidst ambiguity and rapid changes.

Travel

This job requires up to 50% planned business travel.

Education and Experience

A bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4-year institution is preferred. Combined experience in account or territory sales for a minimum of 2 years is desirable.Preferred background in SaaS, B2B sales, subscription sales, or startup environments.Experience in technology platforms especially in the functions of configuration, reporting, dashboards, and data management.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
