Huntington T. Block (HTB) Insurance Agency, Inc., business group within Aon Affinity is the oldest and largest managing general underwriter of Fine Art Insurance in the United States.
The Account Executive II is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and in office two to three days a week at our New York City office.

What the day will look like
The Account Executive II will be responsible for the day-to-day, account management of HTB’s relationships with assigned clients, with proficiency, from both a coverage and process standpoint. Retaining and growing the assigned book of business will be essential elements for this position. This position includes risk review and analysis of both renewal and new business submissions gathering data in accordance with established HTB underwriting guidelines as well as the ability to build and maintain effective business relationships with clients, prospects and both internal and external underwriters, etc. Accountable for accurate risk assessment and documentation and executing sound decisions/recommendations while deploying clear communication both internally and externally. Acts as a trusted risk advisor charged with the responsibility of providing professional advice in order to help the client make better insurance-related decisions.
+ Builds and maintains positive business relationships with internal and external underwriters in order to obtain superior results for the client.
+ Actively supports, understands, and contributes to the business unit’s tactical actions and strategic planning implemented to benefit the clients’ long-term best risk interests while using sound judgment within accepted authority.
+ Attains planned for Renewal Account Policy Retention Goal by understanding the coverage provided, the client’s needs and complying with established service delivery standards.
+ Remarkets and brokes existing policies per client requests or as warranted by market conditions.
+ Monitors and manages the renewal process for assigned book of business drafting quote comparisons, coverage inquiry and analysis responses.
+ Carefully produces and delivers the following to the client in a timely fashion: renewal solicitations, quotes, certificates of insurance, binders, policies, schedules, invoices, and endorsements. Addresses and resolves client service problems.
+ Manages accounts receivables and responds to client payment-related requests.
+ Supports the team’s annual New Business Sales Goal by actively participating in new business and account rounding efforts as required. The individual annual sales and account rounding goal, if any, for this position is typically $100,000 to $150,000
+ Attends, networks and actively participates association conventions, conferences, trade shows, museum/gallery openings, insurer events, business luncheons and similar events if and as assigned. Some travel may be required.
+ Responsible for mitigating the potential for errors and omissions by understanding the client’s risk needs and offering relevant coverages and higher limit options.
+ Identifies premium growth opportunities with current book by cross-sell offering other coverage lines. Collects/monitors competitive intelligence on all key competitors within assigned areas; anticipate client’s needs by contributing to research and development of products /endorsements.
+ Works with clients or brokers to provide coverage overviews and clarifications.
+ Supports a team environment while demonstrating the ability to work independently, as appropriate, with moderate guidance and supervision.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
Required Experience
+ 5 – 10 years’ Property & Casualty insurance industry work experience as an account executive.
+ Fine Art & Musical Instrument insurance or a related Inland Marine Specie line preferred.
+ Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
+ Strong analytical skills and familiarity in working with carrier underwriting systems.
+ Self-motivated, highly organized and detail oriented. Ability to multi-task
+ Ability to work in a team environment
+ Experience with MS Office suite products, proficiency with Excel is required.
+ Property & Casualty license required.
Education
+ Four-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
+ Risk management-related studies and or business is a plus.
+ Relevant advanced degree or P&C insurance industry designation such as ARM, CPCU or CIC is a plus

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $130,000 to $172,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
