Job Description

EcoInterative seeks an entrepreneurial individual who can sell our existing products into new markets.  We currently work with a large number of state and regional transportation agencies and are actively working to expand our capital planning software platform to local governments.  This is not a typical sales role - your first year will be a cross between account executive and product marketer.  You will work with our product and marketing teams to help refine our messaging, strategy, and product as we connect with prospects and work to land the first set of accounts in this vertical. You will bring your expertise in establishing partnerships with clients in new verticals and working across the organization to ensure we meet their needs.  As we gain traction and build the team, this role will transition into a more traditional sales or account management role.

What will your main responsibilities look like?

Establish EcoInteractive as a leader in the city & county capital planning market.Develop a deep understanding of our industry, products, and how they help our customers achieve better outcomes.Work with our product and marketing teams to develop, test and refine ICPs, messaging, and product features to ensure alignment with customer needs.sEngage with prospects at all stages of the selling process - prospecting, qualification, objection handling, negotiation, product presentations, customer/prospect follow-up, and deal conversion. Establish consultative expertise and credibility with prospects by fluently speaking their language and understanding the complexities of their business processes. Build long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with clients and prospective clients.sDemonstrate the value of our products and services to prospective buyersMeet quarterly and annual objectivesRepresent EcoInteractive in the market with incredible integrity, professionalism, and expertise.Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time

What elements of your professional background will be necessary and useful in this role?

6+ years of experience in govtech startup SaaS sales, business development or a similar role Successful track record in achieving the first few sales with a new product or with an existing product in a new verticalDemonstrated skill in taking customer feedback and incorporating it into product development and/or marketing materialsStrong quantitative, analytical, and conflict-resolution abilitiesRequired: Authorized to work in the US – unfortunately, we cannot sponsor work visas or transfers at this time.Required: Must be physically located in one of the following states: AL, AZ, AR, CO, FL, GA, MD, MA, MI, MT, NV, NJ, OR, PA, TN, TX, UT, CA, NY
