Account Executive - Political Sales
Role Overview: The Political Sales Account Executive (AE) will be responsible for driving political ad revenue across Nexstar’s broadcast, digital, and CTV platforms. This role requires strong relationship management skills, a deep understanding of the political advertising landscape, and the ability to execute data-driven sales strategies. Key Responsibilities: + Develop and maintain relationships with political agencies, campaign media buyers, PACs, and advocacy groups. + Drive advertising sales across local, national, and digital platforms, ensuring optimal revenue growth. + Work closely with the VP of Political Sales to align strategies and capitalize on key opportunities. + Analyze political ad spending trends and identify high-value markets for ad placements. + Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless campaign execution and performance tracking. + Provide market insights and competitive intelligence to enhance Nexstar’s position in political sales. + Maintain a deep understanding of FCC regulations, compliance standards, and public file reporting. Ideal Candidate: + Proven experience in political ad sales or a related media sales role. + Strong understanding of political media buying cycles, fundraising patterns, and advocacy advertising. + Ability to manage multiple accounts, negotiate high-stakes deals, and drive revenue in a fast-paced environment. + Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to engage with high-level political buyers.
