As a corporate account executive, you will help in both enabling the client with electrification and automation solutions as well as foster 360-degree relationships to further multiple high tech sectors. This role is responsible for the development, profitable growth, collaboration and life cycle management of the assigned customer(s) across all relevant business divisions where Siemens SI opportunity exists. Represents Siemens, and all appropriate Siemens SI offers in all strategic, selling and co-value creation activities. Act as primary relationship manager and facilitator between the customer’s and the Siemens’ organization (HQ, Business Units/Divisions and Regions). With specific feedback and input from the customer, develop and document an account business plan (ABP) that details relationship, growth and on-going interactions (exec sponsor engagement, account sales team actions/activities, etc.) with the client organization. Continually seek and pursue growth opportunities that align with the account’s needs, drivers, strategic directions/investments. Assemble, lead and manage the account sales and execution team insuring financial, relationship and value creation actions are completed and desired outcomes attained. Provide periodic Siemens and customer stakeholder reviews regarding ABP focus, objectives and actions as well as attainment of account financial objectives, including optimized share of wallet volume, profitability, and performance against KPIs established mutually with the account. 

As this is a global account focus, engage with local sales leadership and account team sales and support resources to direct and execute all geographic/regional business plans for client locations and divisions. Work with local, national and global account team staff to increase market share, maintain and develop new opportunities, improve gross margins and enhance local financial and execution performance. Coordinate with business unit resources and operations, ensure sales personnel provide effective high-quality solutions to meet customer objectives and requirements through sales of our solutions and as part of co-value creation with the client organization. 

Account Executive Smart Infrastructure

This position will be remote in the continental US.

As an Account Executive, your key responsibilities will include:

Compile inputs from account team members and document global Account Business Plan including: Growth Actions – new lines of business to pursue, Siemens share of wallet expansion and gross margin objectives for the account, current and forward-looking forecast Executive management and coordination – establish and maintain multi-business executive relationships between the target account and Siemens both domestically and globally Relationship mapping and on-going assessment to insure effective relationships with key customer decision makers, influencers, operators and stakeholders Relationship development and maintenance actions and activities including Siemens and Client executive sponsor recommendations and focus/leverage Multi-business coordination – assemble and position multiple business and division entities between the target client and applicable Siemens businesses Account addressable market opportunity including competitive and white space opportunity assessment and definition Prioritized account business growth objectives for annual planning and goal setting Propose mutually agreed account business metrics as basis for Siemens SI-Client Quarterly Business Reviews as well as Siemens stakeholder reviews Collaborate with internal business units/functions to secure account team membership commitments Lead and direct account team to achieve account financial goals – OI, Revenue, GM, Share of Wallet by BU and Geography Manage Account Team leveraging established management system, tools and cadence covering: forecast for existing/established lines of business, new business opportunity pipeline, key project/program execution and delivery updates, quality or performance issues, associated root cause analysis and corrective actions, relationship development and potential relationship issues/impacts and associated actions For global account assignments, work with local country, sales and business unit leaders to establish effective account team members in all appropriate countries with established or planned customer decision makers and footprint Develop broad and deep relationships with the customer’s organization, establishing and maintaining a solid and trusting relationship with all appropriate levels within the client’s organization, across all relevant businesses, divisions and functions Lead compilation of information and presentation/presenter assignments for account quarterly business reviews related to attainment of mutually defined KPIs and other scorecard objectives Prepare and lead periodic Siemens stakeholder reviews of Account Business plan to share strategic focus, new business opportunities, co-value creation actions and updates Coordinate communications between client and internal teams via identification and commitment of internal resources for pre-sale, sale and post-sale activities Detail account organization and roster of key decision maker, and execution/operator resources Analyzing client data and understanding to: Provide customer relationship development and management Assess and document client needs and drivers, aligned with Siemens offers and capabilities Define plans to expand profitable, share of wallet involving products, solutions and services from Siemens and key partners Define programmatic and discipline pursuit and capture strategies for incremental business opportunities at the account(s) Effectively report out to key stakeholders the successes and challenges at the account(s) Assess competitive landscape Provide VoC feedback to Siemens business units for continuous improvement as well as future offer development

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, marketing, business administration Ability to travel 50%+ of time in accordance with business need (domestically & internationally) 10+ years’ work experience in sales, management 5+ years of experience in a role requiring account and or business planning Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years sales mgmt leadership or key account management 5+ years proven track record of navigating and mapping complex client organizations to insure effective, multi-level, multi-function relationships 5+ years developing relationship between technology companies with impactful results 5 + years of proven results of delivering client solutions and meeting/exceeding sales targets

The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
