As an Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for generating new sales opportunities in diverse upstream oil and gas rental market segments.  Also create, cultivate, and implement sales plans that will achieve the company’s financial and business objectives for revenue, profit, cash conversion, quality and customer satisfaction through the sales and rental drilling motors, RSS, MWD, and Data tools that will support our On Demand Solutions Drilling Services.

As an Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for: 

Create and implement a business plan that will achieve annual year over year growth of the business as measured by revenue, market share and profit.

Lead planning and implementation of plans to grow revenue by securing business in new markets and expanding business with existing clients.

Forecast changes in the business environment and prepare plans to proactively change the business to improve and maintain competitiveness. Quickly react to changes in markets by focusing on innovative sales techniques and diversifying our customer base.

Act as a spokesperson for the business, both internally and externally to enhance the company’s image and relationships with key stakeholders, strategic partners, vendors and decision makers for key customers.

Ensure relationships with customers are managed and the company is professionally represented. Personally call on key accounts to maintain and secure long term business relationships.

Responsible for generating business and increase revenues by following designed sales objectives, policies, and programs to achieve maximum sales. In addition, to achieving continued growth with existing accounts, a key focus of this role is the development of new client opportunities.

Assist with and organize sales promotions and trade shows.

Investigate client problems and assist in technical solutions.

Ensure that developed marketing and sales plans and objectives are followed in a compliant manner with the company’s overall objectives.

Prepare and present technical sales presentations to clients.

This is a focused sales position to the Oil & Gas exploration and drilling industry.

Location is based in Houston but will have national coverage responsibilities

Fuel your passion 

To be successful in this role you will have: 

4yr degree from an accredited university with a BS degree in a business or engineering major preferred.

Five or more years of demonstrated sales and sales engineering with relevant products in the oil and gas exploration and drilling industries is required for this position

Experience with application sales of rental services and sales to the upstream oil and gas industries is also desired

Success in selling to directional drilling service and engineering companies tools, services, and equipment

Key account management and sales skills with the ability to develop and deliver technical and commercial presentations in a manner that a non-technical audience will understand

Strong self-organization skills.

Ability to work with minimum supervision.

Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.

Good interpersonal, written and listening skills.

Details oriented, with ability to multitask.

The ability to establish credibility with clients.
