Job Summary:
The Account Manager (AM) is primarily responsible for retaining and growing an assigned book of business within the Employee Benefit space through exceptional service, meaningful client engagement and providing proactive solutions. In addition, the AM will accurately update employer benefit plan transactions, daily service transactions, rating and related activities in an Agency Management System in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
Pro-actively manage an assigned book of business
Provide accurate, timely and professional service to assigned customers
Retain assigned customers and grow relationships where appropriate by providing solutions and leveraging internal and external data to support and educate the customer
Complete necessary workflows and activities in Agency Management System (AMS) and other applicable software
Responsible for maintaining accurate data for assigned customers activity in the Agency Management System
Prepare employee communications for renewals and enrollment period
Be a student of the business by growing group insurance knowledge through company provided online learning tools as well as industry content and publications
Develop and maintain carrier relationships and share knowledge with peers and leadership
Requirements:
Proficient group employee benefit knowledge
Effective communication skills as well as strong organizational skills and demonstrated attention to details
Able to work independently and within a team environment
Embraces customer success and demonstrates a “can do attitude”
Proficient in MS Office applications and experience with AMS or related software
Can manage multi customer related activities simultaneously
Education/Experience:
Minimum 2-year group benefits experience
Demonstrated success managing assigned customer block
L&H License is required.
College/University degree preferred.
