Account Manager, Global Financial Services
Description AWS is seeking a world class sales professional to help manage the customer relationship with a strategic financial services customer. In this role, the candidate will be focused on growing business and defining the cloud computing industry in the world’s largest, most strategic, multinational Fortune 100 Financial Services companies. We are growing our Global Financial Services sales team, which focuses on helping the world's largest multinational financial services businesses adopt the AWS cloud platform. Key job responsibilities - Build strategic relationships within the account, articulating a clear vision and generating enthusiasm, while impacting all business groups. - Selling at the most strategic level within the account and implementing a broad strategy for earning customer acceptance and service implementation. - Work with all appropriate AWS resources (Executives, Solution Architects, Business Development, Marketing, Partners, Support, Service teams and Professional Services) to support customer interests. - This individual will need to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, sales teams, partner development teams, be results driven with experience in sales, channel, or business development in infrastructure or cloud services. - Help define product requirements by mapping these business needs to opportunities. - Act as the face of AWS to the account. - Own forecasting and quota attainment for the account. - Ability and interest in learning AWS products and offerings. Basic Qualifications - 7+ Years Experience working with a large Global Organization as lead and relationship manager. - 7+ years Experience in identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large-scale technology deals - 5+ years of experience creating long term transformational account strategies to drive enterprise-wide adoption of new technologies and applying solution-level design thinking to deliver success for global customers - 7+ years in technology related sales, business development or proven experience in account management in sales / marketing environment - A BA or BS degree in computer science, engineering, business, marketing, or related field (MBA preferred) Preferred Qualifications - People management, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, analytical, financial, and presentation skills - Demonstrated decision making, problem solving and negotiation skills. - Previous experience as Enterprise sales leader with telco knowledge, strong business development and technical skills, and experience from innovative CaaS solutions, API and CaaS background - Ability to navigate across a matrix internal team and the customer in a trusted advisor/consultative approach - Ability to establish credibility quickly with senior level executives across the organizations  A strong understanding of AWS and/or technology as a service (Iaas,SaaS,PaaS) would be preferred but not required - Experience working in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional organization - Proven success managing time and juggling multiple projects in a high growth environment, while meeting tight deadlines and budgets Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. This position is eligible for variable pay via a sales compensation plan. These plans pay according to achievement level against sales targets and/or business objectives. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
