Account Manager, Global Key Account

As an Account Manager of a GKA, you will be responsible for managing and developing the North American culinary and petfood businesses as primary responsibility and supporting identified ancillary sites and contributing to the overall administration of the account. In addition to fostering established relationships and managing existing sales, you will identify new opportunities, grow sales, and expand your network. You will work in close cooperation with cross-functional team members, including Operations, Innovation Creation and Design, and Marketing departments within IFF. To excel in this role, you should enjoy an entrepreneurial approach to your work and thrive on developing new opportunities. In this role you will be a part of a dynamic and driven GKA Team and report into the GKA Regional Account Manager with dotted line into North American Category Sales Leader.

Major responsibilities

Cultivate and strengthen customer relationshipsAchieve profitable sales growth targets via maintaining and growing businessDevelop account strategies and engage relevant internal stakeholders to executeLead a cross-functional core team which includes Commercial Support, Technical, Marketing and Regulatory support individuals assigned to each account. Implement strategic initiatives to improve profitability, including optimizing order patterns for customer and IFFProvide and maintain accurate sales forecasts Manage pricing portfolio and achieve gross profit targetsAccountable for all communications with the customer, as well as being the liaison for all various functions between customer and IFFCoordinate with internal functions to provide timely information to all matters relating to the service of accounts.Present to customers and/or arrange presentations for customersHost and coordinate customer visits / workshops Gain opportunities and projects and provide accurate and detailed entry into the IFF project system ensuring that all required information is “first time right”. This includes opportunities entered by Support staff. Manage project timelines and progress by coordinating with internal stakeholders, including Technical team members  Maintain timely and accurate information for on-going projects in the project management system. Participate in team and cross-functional team meetings when requested
