Summary – basic function of the role Responsible for product sales and rental in assigned location/accounts with a focus on the Oil & Gas, PowerGen, and Fabrication markets. Shift: Monday – Friday, evenings and weekends may be required Job Duties and Responsibilities Sales Planning. Candidate will be versatile, well rounded salesperson which includes a range of being “hands-on” to being able to conduct presentations to upper-level personnel. Candidate must be a strong and experienced, self-starter that understands territory management, time management and understands the importance of the customer experience. Sales Consultation. Establish contact with existing clients to maintain and build future relationships within assigned customer base. Candidate must have strong territorial management skills, along with establishing new clients through cold calling, research, and networking within the assigned territory. Liaise with internal sales support and operations staff on equipment requirements, quotations, orders, or follow up to ensure customer’s needs are met. Technical Expertise. Must be technically competent to understand applications as well as problem solver for customer’s issues. The candidate must possess the skills to assess the customers’ needs and solutions sell. Must have the ability to probe, question, and gather specific information about the customer, his needs and track the information for short- and long-term projects. Enerpac Commercial Excellence (ECX). As part of Enerpac’s Americas sales team, maintain account plans, log visit reports, and create and maintain opportunities within Salesforce. Weekly reviews with the sales manager will include gap planning, meeting coordination, forecasting, and regular updates on the status of opportunities. Work closely with management to ensure company goals and objectives are being met within the territory. In addition, relay competitive information and new market or product requirements to grow the Hydratight line and maintain reputation as a leader in our field. Candidate will be expected to travel within the assigned territory. Travel will be via car or air, depending on time, budget, and customer constraints. It is estimated that overnight travel will encompass 10% of their time. Skills and Competencies Excellent prospecting, selling, and closing skills along with solid organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently to achieve sales objectives with prompt turnaround on assignments to meet monthly and quarterly deadlines. Solid work ethic, team player, dependable, and avid learner who seeks a challenge to grow professionally. Exceptional verbal and written skills, as well as experience in public speaking in international/multicultural environment. Some Spanish language skill is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as experience with ERP systems such as Oracle and sales reporting /CRM systems, preferably Salesforce. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, legal documents, and technical design drawings. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community and be a strong problem solver. Ability to compose quotations and generate correspondence to customers, end users, and representatives that conforms to a prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to management and public groups when required. Will have strong mechanical aptitude with an ability to work with mathematical concepts such as bolt load/psi/ft. lbs. calculations, statistical inference, and fundamentals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations such as pricing/profit levels. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Valid Driver’s License Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in business, sales, or a similar field; or 5 or more years related experience in industrial sales in infrastructure and fabrication markets; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical Demands Employee may have to lift documents/work materials up to 30 pounds in weight. Employee may have to lift tools up to 100 pounds in weight. Employee will have to be able to walk/climb to a variety of primary work locations, including traveling by air/auto to remote sites. This can include occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like. Employee may move themselves in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces. Employee will need to move about to accomplish tasks or move from one worksite to another. Employee will need to operate machinery and/or power tools, motor vehicles, and heavy equipment. Employee will need to listen, understand, and speak with team members in person, telephonically, and electronically at all levels within a diverse workforce and with supported organizations. Employee will need to assess the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned. Employee can work in front of a personal computer and telephone for long periods of time. Will have repetitive motions that include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Work Environment Primary work environment is temperature-controlled office setting or a typical warehouse environment but may also be visiting different customers where following appropriate safety protocols at the location would be required. While in the warehouse or visiting customers, employee may be exposed to high/low temperatures, outdoor elements (such as precipitation and wind), high levels of noise, hazardous conditions, poor ventilation, small and/or enclosed spaces, or adverse environmental conditions.
