Account Manager
Overview Singer Equipment Company is a leading provider of equipment, supplies and design-build services to the foodservice industry. We are recognized as an industry leader with best-in-class operations. We are searching for an Account Manager for our Agawam office. The Account Manager will be r esponsible for achieving company sales growth objectives (budgeted top-line and gross profit margin) by creating and maintaining new long-term relationships and mutally beneficial business partnerships. Salary range: $65k-$75k a year Responsibilities + Responsible for achieving company sales growth objectives through the development and execution of an action plan for the identification and integration of new partnerships + Identify and research prospective accounts in assigned market + New accounts are not limited to healthcare, luxury and boutique hotels, multi-unit restaurant groups, independent restaurants, and country clubs inside the Singer Equipment Distribution area + Work collaboratively with other enterprise sales functions/divisions to leverage and maximize sales potential with respective account base + Execute with a high level of accuracy, timeliness and with minimal errors the daily order process for designated accounts utilizing the company ERP (TRX) System and AutoQuotes + Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the Company’s available resources, ERP System, products, policy and pricing structures + Professionally engage with cross functional leadership to ensure that issues are resolved quickly and efficiently ensuring that commitments are met on time + Maintain a high level of communication (internal and external) regarding activity and account status/development initiatives. Maintain accurate and timely account records + Serve as primary customer contact for assigned sales/account base. Promote and demonstrate productive and positive customer relationships by ensuring friendly, professional, knowledgeable and responsive customer support (lead by example) + Engage in ongoing product and process training as those opportunities become available + Engage in activities to ensure that customer satisfaction is achieved, while maintaining company objectives for success + Build relationships and increase Company visibility through participation in Company-sponsored activities, trade shows, and other similar activities where applicable + Responsible for coordinating their own schedules, travel and budget + Perform additional duties that may be assigned as necessitated by business demands Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Skills and Abilities Education / Experience: Associates Degree in Business or 2+ years of equivalent work experience Tools needed for success: + Passion for the hospitality industry + Aptitude for Technology + Entrepreneurial drive + Problem solving and critical thinking is a must. + Excellent verbal & written communication skills + Energetic, positive attitude, ability to work under pressure while maintaining positive behavior + Ability to work independently or with others in a team environment + Detail oriented, time and resource management skills, organizational and follow -through skills Other Requirements: Computer and software proficiency (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, CRM), valid driver’s license At Singer Equipment Company, we value each and every one of our dedicated staff and therefore are pleased to offer a competitive starting wage, a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short term and long term disability, 401K with company match, group life insurance, flexible spending, paid time off, and paid holidays.
