Job Title: Sales Support Representative
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Sales Support Representative to provide accurate product information, pricing, quotes, modifications, and delivery dates. The ideal candidate will process orders, quotes, returns, and exchanges efficiently and respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat. The role involves resolving customer complaints, coordinating with purchasing and production departments, and maintaining customer databases. The Sales Support Representative will also collaborate with the sales team for pre- and post-sales support, prepare sales reports, and participate in product training sessions.
Responsibilities
+ Provide accurate product information, pricing, quotes, modifications, and delivery dates.
+ Process orders, quotes, returns, and exchanges accurately and efficiently.
+ Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat, demonstrating professionalism and empathy.
+ Resolve customer complaints and concerns in a timely and courteous manner, striving to exceed customer expectations.
+ Coordinate with purchasing and production departments to track order status.
+ Run open order report daily and communicate with customers and sales representatives regarding any potential delays or issues.
+ Maintain customer database and update records with sales interactions and transactions in the ERP system.
+ Partner with applicable departments to identify customer/order issues, including notifying accounting for customer credit hold situations.
+ Ensure drawings are approved and signed prior to the start quoting process.
+ Review BoMs (Bill of Materials) in ERP to ensure capability of producing orders by confirming all costs, parts, and labor.
+ Ensure margin accuracy by maintaining open communication with the sales team for approval.
+ Collaborate with the sales team to provide pre- and post-sales support.
+ Share upselling and cross-selling opportunities with the sales team to maximize sales revenue.
+ Prepare sales reports, presentations, and other documentation as needed.
+ Stay informed about product features, benefits, and specifications to effectively address customer inquiries and support the sales team.
+ Participate in ongoing product training sessions to enhance product knowledge.
+ Share customer feedback and insights with relevant departments to drive continuous improvement.
+ Proactively communicate with internal and external customers.
+ Participate in periodic physical inventory process.
+ Perform other tasks as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ 3+ years of customer service/sales support experience.
+ Experience in medical device/life sciences industry strongly preferred.
+ Proficiency in order processing and ERP experience (Syteline currently used).
+ Excellent math and accounting skills.
+ Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and order processing.
+ Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-centric attitude.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience using ERP (Syteline preferred).
Work Environment
This role is onsite in Sparta, NJ. The Sales Support Representative will report to the Customer Service Manager located in California and will work alongside three other customer service representatives onsite. There are a total of 60 employees onsite in Sparta. The working hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM daily, and this is an hourly paid position. There is no opportunity to work from home.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58000.00 - $64480.00
Benefits are provided through the company. They are contributory benefits and can be expensive based on the employee population being small outside of California.
